The first event of the Steinlager Shaka's Longboard Series --Pro-Am event is in the books. The SUP surfers put on a great display even in the windy conditions. With the perfoarmances at Sunset Beach this past weekend, we've learned that SUP surfers can rip even when the conditions are less than perfect. These are the results of the SUP final:
1st: Leleo Kinimaka (Kailua-Kona) 2nd: Dave Parmenter (Makaha) 3rd: Brian Keaulana (Makaha) 4th: Nolan Keaulana (Makaha) Power SUP surfer Leleo Kinimaka continues to break new ground for SUP surfing. His sweeping vistory at Sunset Beach has made him a surfer to watch for in the future. We look forward to seeing him in future events. With Makaha surfers winning 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places, they continue to show their strength even when surfing away from their home break. We'll see you at the next event in the Shaka Series on May 19-20 at Kakaako Beach Park (Flies), Oahu, HI.
