ImageThis weekend the entry fee is just $20 for the Hawaii Kai to Elk's Club Stand Up Paddle Challenge sponsored by Primo Beer and Soljah! Stand up paddle and one-man canoe divisions will highlighting the event. The event is a benefit for Malama Maunalua which will receive 100% of the proceeds. Malama Maunalua is an alliance that works for culturally and ecologically health of Southeast Oahu. This organization strives to support fish re-population and pollution elimination.

 
    The race divisions are as follows:
 

 

Open One-man canoe:

Juniors: 17 and under

Open: 18-29

Senior: 30-39

Master: 40-49

Grandmaster: 50+ 

 

Stand Up Paddle:

10'6 and under

12'6 and under

14'6 and under

Open (rudder ok)

Registration will start at 8:00 am with the race start time at 10:00am.

Check in at the Hui Nalu Canoe Club area.

The race will run from the Hawaii Kai Boat Ramp outside channel marker to the Elk's Club.  It's an 8 mile course and will be a lof of fun.

1st Annual Cold Stroke Classic Stand Up Paddle Race

coldclassic08150.jpg    We just got the word about what promises to be a one of a kind stand up paddle event. The 1st Annual Cold Stroke Classic in Wilmington, North Carolina will be going off rain or shine on December 13th. The 4 mile course will begin and end at Dockside Restaurant & Marina and will circle Harbor Island. All proceed from the race will benefit the Wrightsville Beach Sea Turtle Project.

 

    The event will host two divisions 1) Recreational Stock 12'6" and under rudderless fixed fin 2) 18' and under, no muli-hulls. With an entry fee of only $20 and over $3,000 in prizes that include a Laird Tuflite stand up paddle surfboard by Surftech, everyone should enter.
